A hub for art & community
The idea for this website was born out of my nostalgia for early 2000 community hub-like websites like bobbyjackbrand, meez, zwinky, weeworld, etc and my current role as a middle school art teacher.
Felisa is an artist and educator working in a variety of mediums including printmaking, ceramics, painting, metal, and fiber arts. She considers her teaching practice an extension of her art practice, and often draws inspiration from the fast-paced environment of her classroom by limiting supplies to recycled paint and paper scraps. Felisa often explores narrative themes of community, tradition, and memory and leans into her undergraduate discipline in printmaking by expanding, repurposing, and consinuously reimginently her staple motifs.
